I am a South Korean-Swedish (adoptee) dancer and choreographer based in Malmö, Sweden since 2018.

Brought up in the countryside in Skåne as a queer-identifying person, I was always fascinated with questions regarding identity, which later led me to look deeper into the intersection between social identity-politics, norm criticism, and poetry through movement and spatial integrity. My specific interest currently lies in topics related to ’human identity’  and phenomenology, both in regards of gender- and marginalised identities.
Therefore, my own artistic work is filtered through queer readingglasses with perspectives of a BIPOC+ and adoptee-gaze.
I approach the body in relation to movement, as a container and assembly point of experience and physical practices. Sometimes the dances are compliant and calm, sometimes wild and ferocious, but the foundation in my research is to find the correlation between idea (factual or speculative) and movement language.

Over the years, I have gathered a lot of knowledge from various artistic spaces/processes, and different parts of the dance field, performing in various contexts such as on stages, in galleries and in site-adaptive outdoors settings as well as sitting in cultural political rooms fighting for the rights of danceartists and the independent performing arts field. At occassion, I have also written ’dance’ in words, offering the work another dimension.

My work is spanning over many different areas within dance and the expanded field of choreography, which is the fuel, driving my artistic curiosity. I work with ”PHYSICAL ARCHIVING”, stemming from a strong urge of ”collecting” practices which I utilize through layering, transformation and shifting.

Since 2019, I am working as a member of Nya Rörelsen - Koreografer i Skåne which is a greenhouse for artists in the Southern Region of Sweden.
